Innovation Models, Absorbtive Capacity And The Performance Of Innovation

Many countries think highly of technology importing and self-dependentinnovation as two important way of national innovation, especially developingcountries. In our country, based on the theory of advantage of backwardness, asdeveloping countries, technology importing is the best choice for our country to catchup even transcends the developed countries; however, as a big country, we have therealistic need for our countries to get rid of the restriction of developed countries. Atthe same time, our country also showed a series of problems in Technologyintroduction process, such as repeated introduction problems, no active digestion andabsorption input on the imported technology, imported technology and the currenttechnical ability ofthe national or enterprise exist mismatch problem etc.As to the integration of the study on absorptive capacity, the path oftechnological progress and innovation performance level, the study is rare at homeand abroad. At present, many domestic and foreign scholars have little research onabsorption capacity constraintion on the choice of technical progress, these researchesstill stay at the discussion based on the theory of advantage of backwardness orcompetitive advantage theory of technological progress. This study based on therelevant data of China’s30provinces and autonomous regions, quantifying theabsorption capacity, researches constraints of the absorption capacity on technologydecision. At the same time, this paper puts the absorptive capacity and the path oftechnological progress variables into study so as to explore its effect on technologyinnovation performance.This study conducts empirical study on the date and the main findings are asfollows:Decision-making of innovation model is by constrainted absorptive capacity; indifferent absorption capacity situation should choose different combination ofinnovation or different patterns of innovation;Innovation model shows significantly time and region different. At the same time,technology importing, independent innovation and domestic technical buying some orall promote innovation performance;Absorptive capacity as the influence factors of innovation shows a significantrole in promoting the innovation performance, but the result of the study also showsthat the research is not consistent with what expected. Finally, combining with the findings, from the perspectives of government andbusiness enterprises, this study puts forward measures and suggestions to improve thelevel of technology innovation.
