Study On The Relationship Between Appropriability Regime, Absorptive Capacity And Innovation Performance

Since the introduction of the open innovation theory,enterprises have paid more attention to the search,transformation,utilization and protection of knowledge.When carrying out innovation activities,enterprises should not only be good at using external knowledge sources to acquire knowledge with potential commercialization ability,but also protect their core knowledge by effective ways.With the coming of the era of knowledge economy,knowledge help the enterprises to gain the core competitive advantage,when the enterprise innovation related knowledge by competitors to obtain or use,enterprises may lose their competitive advantage and innovation performance.then,the appropriability regime and absorptive capacity plays a very important strategic position.Therefore,how to grasp the relationship between enterprise appropriability regime and innovation performance,how to effectively use the ability to stimulate their innovation performance,has become a challenge for enterprises to use knowledge to develop themselves effectively.In view of this,based on the strategic emerging enterprises of HuBei province as the object,combined with literature review of the appropriability regime and absorption capacity,analyzes the impact of the appropriability regime and the absorptive capacity on the innovation performance of enterprises,and focuses on the moderating role of the absorptive capacity by means of a large sample questionnaire.The results show that the appropriability regime has a significant positive impact on innovation performance,and also the rival absorption capability has a significant positive substantial impact on innovation performance,while rival absorption capacity,absorptive capacity play a negative and positive moderation effect between appropriability regime and enterprise innovation performance.The results of this study not only help enterprises attach importance to the appropriability regime,but also help enterprises understand the influence of the absorption ability on enterprise innovation performance,and has the inspiration of deepening the theoretical basis in this field.
