A Study On Classification And Forming Mechanism Of Urban Tourism Spatial Carriers

Economic development and the development of urban tourism are complementary. City economic development will stimulate tourism consumption and tourism supply, At the same time, development of tourism will stimulate city economic. The new form of urban tourism attraction in the space range is called Urban Tourism Spatial Carrier, such as CBD, urban RBD,CAZ, CTD, urban TBD, CED, CRD, city tourism complex, city tourism agglomeration area, urban neighborhoods.By summarizing the relevant literatures and academic achievements,the author think their concept is repeated with each other and very easy to confuse in addition to the concept of urban RBD. These concepts are just manifestations of Urban Tourism Spatial Carrier, not classification standard. Therefore, by analyzing of the conception of existing Urban Tourism Spatial Carrier, the author has summarized the conception of Urban Tourism Spatial Carrier and classified the types of Urban Tourism Spatial Carrier. The results are as follows:①Urban Tourism Spatial Carrier is a place with a certain size and tourism attraction where local residents and tourists want to go for recreation and leisure.②Classified from the core functions, Urban Tourism Spatial Carrier can be divided into three part such as single function, diversity functions and extended functions. Classified from spatial shape, Urban Tourism Spatial Carrier can be divided into two part such as banding and ring-shaped. Classified from formation mechanism, Urban Tourism Spatial Carrier can be divided into scenic spot, founction-extention landscape resources, founction-extention ratail business district,tourism function given type.③The forming of founction-extention landscape resources will be affected by landscape resources, large-scale projects and events, location, the needs of travel and leisure, urban economy and tourism as well as other factors; the forming of founction-extention ratail business district will be affected by enterprises behavior, bidding rent, government actions and tourism demand and other factors; Government action, market demand, major events and activities, tourism marketing functions have an important influence on tourism function given type.Through generalizing the concept of Urban Tourism Space Carrier, classifying its types, sorting out its formation mechanism, the results of this article can be used in government urban planning, retail companies looking for location.
