The Measurement Of Urban Tourism Level And Its Analysis Of Time And Space

After over 30 years development,China's tourism industry has been integrated into the overall situation of economic society development and become a strategic pillar industry of national economy.For tourist city,tourism industry has become an important driver of city social economy full scale development.In order to meet the age of mass tourism,more and more cities introduce the concept of tourism to city construction and management,adequately manifest the tourism elements,constantly improve the tourism function and fully optimize the urban environment.which make cities began to tourismization.With the deep propel of the "Destination-based Touirsm"strategy in recent years,the process of urban tourismization will become more fast.Therefore,further study on the urban tourismization is not only the objective requirement to promote tourism prosperity,improve the overall tourismization level in China,but also the realistic demand to promote the coordinated development of city and tourism,accelerate the construction of livable and appropriate tourism city.Based on the systemic comb of related literature and theory both at home and abroad,this paper scientifically explains the connotation of urban tourismization and established a set of index system to measure the level of urban tourismization.Then,select cross-section data of 2005 and 2004 and further calculate the level of tourismization of 27 key tourist cities in china by using the factor analysis method.From the two dimensions of time and space,this paper analyse the characteristics of spatial-temporal evolution of urban tourismization level.Finally put forward countermeasures and suggestions to promote the reasonable development of urban tourismization.The main research contents and conclusions were as follows:(1)Urban tourismization is a dynamic process of urban tourist destination function promotion with the evolution of urban functions and full aspects integrated of tourism development.In the process,the reception scale of urban tourism has been expanding;the proportion of tourism economy is steadily increasing;the integration between the tourism industry and the three industries is continuously deepening and the urban environment of livable and appropriate tourism is constantly forming.(2)According to the urban tourism system model,this paper selects measurement index from four dimensions of urban tourism economy,urban tourism industry,tourism management and service of government and urban tourism environment.Ultimately,the evaluation index system of urban tourismization level is set up,which includes 15 indicators.(3)From the evaluation results,tourismization level of small-sized and professional tourist city is the highest,such as Huangshan,Zhuhai,Xiamen and Haikou,mainly because this kind of city is small,tourism function is easier to dominate;tourismization level of comprehensive metropolitan in the economic developed regions like Beijing and Shanghai is generally higher,but tourist function can't play a dominate role;tourismization level of transformational tourist city and economic underdeveloped city is generally lower,showing that the economic developmentof a city has great impacts on tourismization level.(4)From the perspective of time,tourismization level of comprehensive tourism city in the economic developed regions shows downtrend basically and tourismization level of professional and transformational tourism city are improved;Huangshan mono-pole superiority is obvious;the rank of urban tourismization level changes significantly.It can be divided into three types:stable development,accelerate development and slow development.(5)From the perspective of space,urban tourismization grade shows distribution characteristics of "olive shape".The proportion of ?-?city increased from 66.6%in 2005 to 70.4%in 2014 and the proportion of V city fell from 14.8%in 2005 to 3.4%in 2014,it shows that urban tourismization is developing to the more reasonable and advanced direction.The main innovation points of this paper include:(1)The subject shows novelty of the comprehensive evalution of urban tourismization,and the temporal and spatial variation features of urban tourismization level are analyzed,making some breakthroughs in the research content.(2)From the perspective of urban tourism functions,reinterpret the concept and characteristics of urban tourismization,and points out that urban tourismization emphasizes the promotion of tourism destination fuction,and not just the expansion of tourism scale and the improvement of tourism revenue.(3)Establish a relatively comprehensive evaluation index system to reflect urban tourismization level.The index system which consists of 4 dimensions and 15 indicators has the systematicness and hierarchy,and all choose relative index in order to eliminate the measurement deviation due to urban size.In addition,this paper needs further perfect the urban tourismization evaluation index system,select representative cities to more detailed time series analysis and put forward more accord with promoting the development of urban tourism in the future research.
