In the background of economic and tourism development, our country’s tourism market isbooming rising.But as a result of homogenous competition in the market and the increasingeducation level of tourists, the original single functions of tourism products are unable to meetthe needs of tourists. This requires us to promote industrial integration between tourismindustry and cultural industry as well as cultivate creative cultural tourism products to meet thedemands of the market. Promoting integration of tourism industry and cultural industryeffectively is not only beneficial to the development of the two industries, but also an importantway of practicing "scientific development". Since the two industrial convergence can bring ussocial and economic benefits, this trend has gained wide attention of the scholars. But in ourcountry there has not been formed a theoretical system since the short time of the two industrialconvergence and lack of rich practical experience. This paper analyzes the facts in theperspective of industrial convergence and shows strong significances in theory and practice.The author seeks to promote industrial economics and industrial integration in China in theperspective of industry integration. Firstly, a thorough research was made on the background ofthis status, and was analyzed from two aspects which are feasibility and necessity. Based onplenty of document literature, the author elaborates domestic and overseas research status, andmade a definition of tourism industry and cultural industry,then expounds the current situationof the two industries’ integration in our state, which includes the fusion modes and existingproblems. This paper evaluates and analyses the degree of integration of the two industries byinput-output table, and point out the three barriers of the integration of tourism and culturalindustries. Finally, this paper put forwards countermeasures from three aspects of government,corporations and consumers, at last the author reviews the main points of the wholepaper,illustrate the shortage of it and point out the direction for further study.
