With the vigorous promotion of informatization construction of land resources, the land resources system construction is implemented by the departments of land resources management all around the country. Currently, the studies of technology framework and function have been very complete and powerful, but the designers ignore the user interface usability problems of this system. The user interface is the media between people and the computer. How to improve the usability of the user interface in order to guide users to better fulfill the function of this system is an important research content of this article.The main purpose of this paper is to carry out the research of usability problems of land resources system user interface with the analytic methods. Firstly, it presents the recent research situations of both domestic and international user interface usability through extensive literature study and research. Secondly, on the basis of clarifying the concept of user interface, it combines with the characteristics of land resources system, it also classifies the user interface and proposes design principles of user interface with the consistency, the reliability, the simplicity, reducing the burden on the user’s memory, the coordination and flexibility and the aesthetics. According to the definition of usability, based on the effectiveness, efficiency, satisfaction of usability index, it completes land resources system and the establishment of evaluating indicator system of integrated management platform, it identifies four first-class indicator of criteria layer and seventeen second-class indicator of target layer in line with the basic idea of the analytic hierarchy process. Evaluation of first-class indicators, including the interface layout, the system learning ability, the effectiveness and the help with error correction. Using the analytic hierarchy process, establishes the judgment matrix, calculates the integrated weights of every indicator. According to the evaluating indicator system which establishes, using survy data to conduct this case study and comparing the results of this study with the original working system. And the specific scores of every indicator carry on the comparative study and analysis of results. Finally, Combines with the analytic hierarchy process and fuzzy evaluation, get the results of fuzzy evalution by the establishment of fuzzy evaluation model. The anthor proposes some advices and suggestions for the improvements of the user interface according to the results of this analysis.
