To protect and use the cultivated land rationally, and raise its utilization ratio is the key to ensure food security in our county, and also they are the basis of sustainable development, moreover, this is the internal requirement of construction of agricultural modernization in our country. Evaluating cultivated land utilization and recognizing cultivated land utilization situation have the realistic meanings that they can help to improve comprehensive efficiency of cultivated land utilization, and that they also can carry out cultivated land’s intensive utilization.Quantitative evaluation research of land intensive utilization has been the key task in land intensive utilization studies in our country. It mainly includes methods and contents of evaluation, index system and some other aspects. Among them, the intendment of cultivated land’s intensive utilization, evaluation methods and index selected are still in the stage of primary study.Based on the previous research, this paper defines the cultivated land’s intensive utilization, using the PSR Model building evaluation system of cultivated land’s intensive utilization by Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Entropy method for cultivated land’s intensive utilization empirical study of Wanzhou, Chongqing City. This study takes Wanzhou’s townships as the evaluation areas, and analyze the evaluation results rationally. Based on these study, the paper gives several cultivated land intensive utilization modes and some rational advises. The results show that:(1) there is obvious regional differentiation characteristic in Wanzhou cultivated land intensive using level, showing that the level of cultivated land intensive utilization in the north and middle is higher than that in the east, west and south;(2)Wanzhou cultivated land use intensity in2011is0.1492,which is lower than arithmetic mean value of cultivated land use intensity of all townships, by this token, the whole level of Wanzhou cultivated land intensive using is lower;(3) from the principles layer, the weight size of the level of cultivated land’s intensive utilization: response layer> states layer> pressure layer, from index layer, the weight size of the level of cultivated land’s intensive utilization: unite fertilizer use> unite involved labor> the average output of land> irrigation index> the rate mechanization> cropping index> commissariat unit area yield> cultivable land per person> grain safety factor> cultivated land balance index;(4) the entire region altogether divides into three intensive utilization areas, the rank is higher, the cultivated land intensive utilization level is lower: Ⅰ-intensive utilization area, including5towns, such as Zhoujiaba, accounted for10%of all the towns, belongs to the pattern of high investment and high productivity; Ⅱ-intensive utilization area belongs to the pattern of medium investment but low productivity, including9towns, such as Xiongjia, accounted for18%of all the towns; Ⅲ-intensive utilization area belongs to the pattern of low investment and low productivity, including36towns, such as Xinxiang, accounted for72%of all the towns. In the later study, we are not only strengthen the infrastructure investment, but also rationally adjust the structure of agricultural industry, develop agricultural science and technology and increase the effective guidance of government.
