Patent citation analysis study is a current hot trend. By buildingspecialized patent information database, especially Chinese themes patent citation database, anddeveloping the powerful patent information analysis software, we can build a high level of patentinformation research team. In this way, we will identify key core technology trends andaccurately position the direction of our research. So we can win an important opportunity forresearch and development forward and remain competitive invincible position.Because the patent literature and other scientific literature have a big difference in terms ofcontent or format, we have few specialized methods for in-depth analysis of patent documents.Patent literature study abroad more mature than domestic at present. So we can take advantage of patentcitation analysis methods in-depth analyze the case of the data of patent documents that which iscited. Accordingly, we find that the core countries of patent, the core technology, the coreinventor, technology trends and so on. For this research purposes, this article attempts toconstruct a thematic Patent Citation Database. I will use the software development of MicrosoftVS2010to store the information into the system, query, analysis and other functional modules.And I will I refer to this database system to store and retrieve a topic patent citation data. I hopeto provide convenient patent citation network analysis. I chose the topic of photovoltaic celltechnology for the empirical case studies finally. And I explore the dynamic path oftechnological development. I’m hoping that the research results can provide a reference forresearchers in the field.
