The Research On The Layout Of China’s Iron Ore Import Port

Iron and steel industry is one of the backbone industries in China, and iron ore is the main material of steelmaking in steel enterprises, so plenty of iron ore material is the guarantee about the successful development of the steel industry in China. Although our country is rich in iron ore resources, but majority of China’s domestic iron ore is in lower quality and difficult to mine. Since in quality and quantity can not meet the needs of the steel industry, thus China’s iron ore imports increased year by year from the1998.In the background of the rapid growth of imported iron ore and the country’s industrial layout adjustment, the structure adjustment of iron and steel industry and the strong demand for imported iron ore, this puts forward new requirements planning adjustment for the port layout of imported iron ore. This paper analyses the present situation and existing problems, and connect with the main influencing factors of the port layout of imported iron ore, construct evaluation index system of the import iron ore port layout, and then use the fuzzy cluster analysis model to research and analyze the Bohai Sea’s import iron ore port layout, thus to achieve the goal of the port’s function orientation and hierarchy layout. Finally, the article gives the countermeasures to solve the problem of iron ore port layout, so as to realize optimization of iron ore port layout, promote the healthy development of the iron and steel industry.
