As a kind of functional dyes with unique optical, electrical and magnetic prope-rties, Phthalocyanines(Pcs) were demonstrated widespread to show practical value and application prospect in various fields. As one kind of effective photosensitizer, phthalocyanine and its derivatives have been considered as new promising photosensitive drugs in PDT due to its clear structure and composition, easy control of quality, well photosensitive property and biology compatibility.In our work, a series of cationic zinc phthalocyanine containing quaternary ammonium were designed and synthesized, and relevant properties of those compounds were investigated, which provided the basis to study the impact of the structure of cationic zinc Pcs containing quaternary ammonium on the efficiency of photosensitizers in the photodynamic therapy. The main research conclusions are as follows:(1)Ten new phthalonitrile derivatives(B1、B2、B3、B4、C2、C3、C4、D1、D2 and D3) and four new azotic phthalocyanines (NEtPcZn、NEtJPcZn、NPrPcZn、and NPrJPcZn), which have not been reported in any papers, were designed and synthesized successfully, and were characterized by UV-Vis spectra, IR spectra and 1H-NMR,et al. Among those compounds, quaternary ammonium Pcs (NEtJPcZn and NPrJPcZn) can partly solube in water; The solubility of NEtPcZn and NPrPcZn in protonic solvent, such as methanol and ethanol was very good; NNTrPcZn can dissolve in CH2C12 and CHC13.(2) Theλmax of four kinds of azotic phthalocyanines (NEtPcZn、NEtJPcZn、NPrPcZn and NPrJPcZn) would tend to red shift accompany with the increase of solvents’ polar. Theλmax of NPrPcZn and NPrJPcZn are all situated around 680nm.(3) The fluorescence spectra of four azotic phthalocyanines were similar, and had about 10 nm of Stock shift compared with UV-Vis spectrum.(4) NEtPcZn、NEtJPcZn、NPrPcZn and NPrJPcZn had the ability to produce the singlet oxygen,and the quantum yield of them were respectively 1.29,1.09,1.18 and 1.42 comparing with the quantum yield of hematoporphyrin was 1.
