With constant development and construction, Tahe oilfield has been developed into a large oil field since its exploitation. Its production is mainly on heavy oil and water salinity in crude oil is much high. Meanwhile, development of this oilfield becomes much more difficult because it is located in the edge of desert whose natural condition is harsh. With the development of oilfield, parameters in Tahe 10 and 12 areas, such as liquid producing capacity, water ratio, and pressure and so on, are changing continually during production and have a large range of fluctuation. This situation leads to lower operational efficiency of Gathering and Transportation System.Heavy oil offloading system in Tahe 10 and 12 areas owns 55 Twin Screw Pumps which are all made in Tianjin Pump Machinery Group Company. Since decline in operational efficiency can trigger increase of cost and external pump is power equipment, this paper researches heavy oil Gathering and Transportation System and its system, and takes turns (volume) stations, unloading stations, and middle stations in Tahe 10 and 12 areas as subjects. Based on study on performance of pump and its system, this paper has built up models of operation of Gathering and Transportation System, combining with practical condition, conducted adaptability research work on heavy oil Gathering and Transportation System, and pointed out improving project for operational efficiency of Gathering and Transportation System. Finally, a satisfactory effect through testing has been obtained, a goal of saving energy has been achieved and lowered consumption and decreased cost.
