| The international environmental diplomacy has taken a new step from the first global Conference on Human Environment in Stockholm1972to the World Summit on Sustainable Development in Johannesburg2002during all the30years of development. In last decade, although there have been some positive changes, the global environmental situation is still grim, many problems have not been solved effectively. According to the report The UNEP published in2000, though some countries have made progress in pollution control, environmental degradation speed slow down, the environment deterioration trend is not reversed on the whole global. The WSSD is a new milestone of international conference on environment and ultimately more participants in general satisfaction results: passed the "World Summit for Sustainable Development Plan" and "Johannesburg Declaration on Sustainable Development" without any objection. This article through to the WSSD review and research, and through the participation of the Chinese delegation at the meeting were analyzed, expound the WSSD inn the process of China’s environmental protection cause and the significance and impact of environmental diplomacy, as well as the WSSD has mutual relations with China. Through the study of WSSD, to understand the new trend for the sustainable development of international and national trend, it plays an important role and significance to further promote the sustainable development and set up new concept of sustainable development to be built of our country. |
