With the continuous development of related technologies of The Internet of Things, it’s possible that using it to replace the traditional query mode of logistics and borrow registration. The RFID technology combined with other embedded technology can used in the management of oil drilling tools, and it can improve the efficiency of management.According to the practical demands of oil drilling tools and the features of data acquisition, this paper designed a system of the management of oil drilling tools. The system is mainly divided into two parts, the first part of the system is the development of date acquisition terminal for oil drilling tools, the second part of the system is the development of monitoring center software development. S3C6410is used as the core controller in date acquisition terminal, and Linux operating system is used as software platform. In order to realize the function of automatic detection, dynamic tracking, data transmission etc, this paper made the detailed design from two aspects of hardware and software. In the aspect of hardware design, according to the performance and characteristics of the interface of S3C6410processor, add the RFID module, GPS module, camera module and GSM/GPRS module. In the aspect of software design, through the way of tailoring the Linux kernel, to custom the operating system which suitable for this system, making the root file system, setting up cross compile environment and designing the driver of the peripheral equipments. on the basis of those, using multithreading technology to realize the synchronization of data collection and video coding. In the aspect of monitoring center, mainly implement the monitor for data and the store data which acquire from date acquisition terminal. This paper use Microsoft SQL server2005to store data and use SDL to realize the real-time display the video data which transmit form the data acquisition terminal.Through the research work of this paper, the drilling tool management system basically realize the expected target, using the RFID technology to realize the self-server borrowing of the drilling tools, RFID combined with GPS and GPRS technologies to realize real-time logistics tracing and ensure real-time monitoring of drilling tools.
