Natural gas as a clean, efficient and convenient energy, is widely developed and used. However, natural gas depend on the pipeline conveying system in the process of development and utilization. At the same time, the oil and gas pipeline network system is a huge energy dissipation system. Optimization of oil and gas pipeline network system, therefore, to improve the economic efficiency, energy conservation and emissions reduction is of great significance.This paper based on "the original design scheme of the pre-production main line engineering in Moxi gas field", contraryed to the present situation of the engineering pipeline network layout and the existing problems, looked into the pipeline network optimization literature and collected gas field related information, prospected the gathering line, systematically carried out the research of the pre-production main engineering gas gathering pipe network optimization in Moxi gas field. The research content includes the layout optimization, pipeline optimization and parameter selection.The layout optimization uses the method of hierarchical optimization.The layout optimization includs symmetry partition optimization, gas gathering station site optimization, gas collecting totall station site optimization and main pipeline network connection optimization. At the same time, it considered some linear obstacles in the engineering. Then symmetry partition optimization model and gas gathering station site optimization model are established and the solutions are simplified. And according to the theory of graph theory, established the gas collecting totall station site optimization model, and using Dijkstra method principle to solve it. And then putting forward three different kinds of main pipeline network connection mode and comparing to their cost.According to the characteristics of the pre-production main lines, and putting forward three kinds of plans of pipelines’direction, adopting the analytic hierarchy process and based on investment cost evaluation method to comprehensive evaluate the three plans, the last choosing the option2for the most of the plan.On the basis of gathering pipe network layout, according to the engineering of the gathering and transferring process and the surrounding network present situation, the technology parameters of the gathering pipeline is determined. First of all, according to the network transmission back pressure derives the gathering pipeline system pressure, then through chemical process simulation software HYSYS and multiphase flow simulation software OLGA simulates working conditions in different pipe diameters, comprares and selects the pipe diameter which is satisfied with the requirement of process and economy, finally through investment analysis to determine the wall thickness and pipe diameter specifications, etc.Finally, comparing and analysing the plan in this paper and the original design of the project. It is concluded that the optimization results compared to the original design of pipeline to reduce the total length of4.96km, with a total investment of805400yuan.
