For traditional profile cutting, which usually used tooling clip and then adopted tomanual cutting, or is to use mechanical cutting of Robot.However, the automatic degree isnot too high, and it is wasted a lot of time in the whole technological process at theprocess of loading and clamping.At the same time, considering the cutting environment isnot very good, the technical requirements for operator should be improved. Therefore, itcannot fully ensure the accuracy of cutting the profile requirement.With the development and improvement for automatic production line is widely usedin modern enterprise, a growing number of processing enterprises adopt this kind ofproduction mode. This paper introduces a full range of process and related principle in theshipbuilding process for large profiles (Q235) cutting in detail, including several parts likethe loading, transportation, printing, cutting, laying-off and so on. the whole process hasbeen illustrated clearly, especially for the transmission mechanism, fixture, plasma cuttingof each part which has been done detailed research and description for the structure designof the whole production line.At the same time, in the aspect of circuit control, the structure is supplemented byindustrial PC and PLC with industrial automation control system, considering variousaspects like the environment,the complexity of system and operational factors and soon.As the current control system changes from the traditional centralized graduallytowards the distributed direction, So it puts forward the higher request about datatransmission and exchange between control systems at all levels of the organization.If itstill uses information line and control line which is connected to a PLC control cabinet,the cost of the method will increase and will affect the wiring. So this paper adoptesProfibus bus by a master station and a few slave stations which constitute a distributedcontrol system. To guarantee the accuracy of the signal at the same time, there will be asubstantial reduction in the design and wiring work on workload. Therefore, this designadopts the Profibus-DP mode which accomplishs the two-way communication betweenmaster station and slave station of network connection.So it realizes the communication ofthe whole system fastly. In the last, PC configuration constitute of software development is used to completethe human-computer interaction interface. It achieves the unification of the control systemthrough kingview software with Profibus bus perfectly cooperating, so as to realize theunity of the operation and test on the shortcut, solve the traditional complex cuttingoperation, maintenance and so on.
