The converter gas, as an important part of by-product gas of iron and steelenterprise, is one of important secondary energy resources, a rational distribution ofconverter gas can effectively reduce the production cost of iron and steel enterprises. Atpresent,most of the iron and steel enterprises in our country there are varying degrees ofhigh converter gas emission rate and low utilization rate, therefore, to develop ascientific and reasonable optimization scheduling solution of converter gas has a guidingsignificance for enterprises to reduce gas emission, improve gas utilization rate andreduce energy consumption cost.The converter gas system is studied in this paper, based on in-depth research andanalysis of the mechanism of converter gas and gas consumption characteristics, weestablish a mathematical model of the converter gas system, while dividing thescheduling unit of converter gas system into generating unit,a single medium subscriberunit, mixed subscriber unit and buffer subscriber unit. Based on the research of theoptimal operation at home and abroad, combining with the production features of thissystem, we propose an optimal operation idea aiming at the minimum of alarm times ofgas pipeline network and the gas emission, and then schedule simulation for convertergas system.Converter gas optimization scheduling model presented in this paper, caneffectively eliminate the fluctuations of gas generation and gas consumption in the gaspipeline, achieve the equilibrium of gas fluctuation, allot each user’s gas demandreasonably, guarantee the safe and stable operation of the gas system. Optimizationscheduling simulation results of converter gas system show that the system can not onlyreduce the gas emission and improve the gas utilization effectively, but also be able to maintain a stable and safe production process, provide reliable basis for energymanagement and optimization scheduling of the iron and steel enterprise.
