Composite materials are widely used in the production of social life, making the development of filament winding technology is becoming increasingly important. Based on the understanding of the central role of the controller in the control system, we select the filament winding production control as the main research content. In the performance of the specific process of fiber wound, the controller will largely affect the stability of the system, the accuracy of the winding products and the production efficiency of the device.This article first filament winding machine winding movement characteristics were analyzed, while the most advanced technology is introduced, we propose a new computer-controlled filament winding system.Based on the research of computer control system principle, this paper has designed a control system which use two levels of distributed computer control system. PC’s main role is to complete the man-machine interface, real-time monitoring and setting parameters,etc; lower machine’s main function is to control the drive system and allow components to perform specific tasks. Select RS-232 C as the communication standard to conect the upper machine and lower machine.Specific to the production process, filament winding tension control method and the fiber computer control is the most important. First winding process and laws were introduced on the basis of further research tension control principle fiber. Finally, tension control system is selected to permanent magnet DC torque motor as actuator, it can not only do real-time detection about fiber, but also can be able to adjust the tension. At the same time to meet the design requirements of precision, we introduce the digital PID controller which separates integral tensionion from PID, integration do well in reducing the accumulation of PID controller, so it decreases the likelihood of the system oscillate.At the end of this article, the paper do the system simulation in MATLAB software, the results show that this system has a good performance in improving the design effect.
