In order to produce high viscosity index, low pour point, high quality base oil, almost all the isomerization dewaxing(IDW) plants which produce base oil of lube in China are based on foreign IDW patent technology and catalyst. This article is based on the IDW patent technology of America Chevron, using the IDW catalyst PIC812 which is developed by Petrochemical Research Institute of CNPC and DaLian Chemical and Physics Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences and made in BeiJing SanJu Environment Company. We study the Usability and applicability of the catalyst in the laboratory, compare with the catalyst PIC812 which is made in China, analyze the difference of the two catalysts? Technical and economic indicators.The results showed: When the reaction temperature is 320℃ and the LHSV is 1h-1, the selectivity, conversion and yield of the catalyst is Relatively high;The isomerization catalyst performance is not sensitive to the change of hydrogen oil ratio,this is associated with isomerization reaction characteristics. But if we use actual distillate as materials,we must have a large hydrogen to oil ratio. Its stability was good through 2000 h stable test. The quality of products was satisfied with the demand when the materials were 650SN、dewaxed oil、Under the wax oil. Energy consumption was less than Chevron catalyst. In the assessment of practical production, the catalyst PIC812 meet the requirements of the technical agreement, The Lube base oil ratio is higher than the first generation of the catalyst, and it has better applicability, it can Process more types of raw materials. It has a variety of types of productions, it can be used in the Industrial production, and Produce more economic benefit.
