With today’s energy problems gradually increased in recent years, people are more concerned about the energy efficiency of the pumping unit. Optimizing structure design and improving balance model to achieve the requirement of energy saving of pumping unit. In order to achieve the requirements of energy saving, low-carbon environment,easy maintenance, and high cost performance, various oilfield began to research and develop new-style pumping unit. Such pumping unit has a good development prospect and practical significance. Under these conditions, this paper designed a set of energy-efficient pumping systems under the research and analysis of the current pumping unit, the pumping system includes mechanical and control two parts.In mechanical design system, by comparing the performance of various motors and reduction devices this paper determined to take use of switch reluctance machine and the approach of roller decelerating which replace original asynchronous motors and larger reducer, the pump adopts truss structure so that it can transmit force by steel wire rope and fall block. Design every part of the system after determining the overall program including platform part, truss structure part, clump weight,hanging heavy rope,and do specific research on each part.The SRD system consists of hardware and software two parts. Upon completion of the analysis of the structure and working principle of switched reluctance motor,complete the design of hardware and software according to the speed governing characteristics and control methods of SR motor. The hardware part is mainly composed of SR motors, power converters, controllers, position detectors and other parts. After that design the software of the system based on the main function of the speed governing system and the design idea of modular programming, and shows the flowcharts of the main program and each subroutine.Aiming at the need of practical application we designed and constructed the experimental platform to simulate pumping working normally, then demonstrated the rationality of the structure design and control system design which including the verification in these areas, processes of the motor acceleration and deceleration and reversing is whether stable and reliable, the brake whether has the ability to quickly brake in the event of power failure and malfunction, the deceleration drum whether can achieve the effect of stable deceleration.
