Large LNG storage tank is LNG storage and transportation is an important measure, an important part of LNG industry chain, its complex structure, large volume, high quality, safe, huge investment.In this article mainly for large LNG storage tank design standards, selection of the tank, heat insulation and the tank structures form the study.Introduces the research status of large LNG storage tank,according to the provincial material law and most provincial cost method to calculate the economic size of the tank, determine when D/H=8/3 more reasonable; according to the characteristics of LNG cryogenic medium, select 9Ni steel as the material inside the tank, and 9Ni steel properties, weldability for analysis; according to API650 standard, EN14620 standard and JISB8501 standard,discusses in detail the calculation method of the tank wall thickness, calculated inside wall thickness of 5.0 × 104~2.0 × 105m3 tank, and use OriginPro 8.0 the results plotted,by comparing the results EN14620 standard to calculate the thickness of the most economical; describes the common cold type and cold material, different parts of the tank were cold design,and the tank wall, tank top and bottom of the tank were leaking thermal calculations,use ANSYS Workbench inside wall of tank stress analysis, the results show different level wall junction presence stress concentration, stress peak of tank along with tank volume increasing the increases, adoption change point method design can effectively improve stress level of tank,on bighorn weld and the tank wall connections optimize, reduce stress peak tank.China has no large-scale LNG storage tank design standards, so this paper China design and research of large LNG storage tanks have a certain reference value.
