4,4’-bi-1,2,4-triazole (BTr) contains two triazoles conjuncted by N,Nsingle bond, and a series of coordination compounds from BTr as ligand had been synthesized and had made remarkable achievements in the field of coordination chemistry and material science. But derivatives from the basic skeleton of 4,4’-bi-1,2,4-triazole were rarely reported.In this paper, tetrachloro-4,4’-bi-1,2,4-triazole as key intermediate was synthesized and structurally characterized by IR,13C NMR, MS and element analysis.The single crystal (CCDC:971635) was cultivated via evaporate solvent tetrahydrofuran slowly, together with its crystal measurement date.The synthesis of 4,4’-bi-1,2,4-triazole derivatives, which treated tetrachloro-4,4’-bi-1,2,4-triazole as key intermediates, was explored from the following two aspects, and the products were fully characterized by IR, MS,1H NMR, 13C NMR and element analysis.1) The synthetic method of C-N coupling derivatives was studied through the nucleophilic aromatic substitution reactions between 3,3’,5,5’-tetrachloro-4,4’-bi-1,2,4-triazole and amines such as alkyl amines and aromatic amines;2) Organicmetal compounds (Grignard reagents) were used to study the synthetic method of C-C coupling derivatives by aromatic nucleophilic substitution reactions between tetrachloro-4,4’-bi-1,2,4-triazole and metal organic compounds.The mechanism of tetrachloro-4,4’-bi-1,2,4-triazole and its derivatives was also discussed in detail. What’s more, the synthetic methods and experimental experience of derivatives of 4,4’-bis-1,2,4-triazole could be reliable reference to explorers in related field.
