Quality of axial static rigidity of ball screw has an important influence on the positioning accuracy of CNC machine tools. This paper designed the measuring and controlling system, as well as, improved fixture of displacement sensor and the test-bed design of vertical force conditions, according to shaft static rigidity test-bed of ball screw of mechanical structure and measurement principle, in order to improve accuracy of test-bed and rigidity measurement.According to the measuring method for axial static rigidity, introduced the static stiffness testing platform’s consisting of main components. Combined with curves of displacement sensor as shown redesigned the sensor tools and improved the midway transfer chain between loading beam and force screw.Based on mechanical structures of test-bed itself, completed the design of its control system. Selected and compared hardware like sensors, motion control card, data acquisition card and data transmission bus, built connection circuit between them. The pressure transducer is calibrated in accordance with piecewise-linear approach, making the output voltage signal and force displayed counterpart exactly. In addition, developed static stiffness test measurement and control system by Visual Basic6.0 to realize management and control test-bed. In the end, introduce the roles of various forms and the functions of main button.Studies involved mechanical structure optimization, control system design, test and simulation analysis. Firstly, described the structure and size request of the measured sample, then elaborated the preloaded ball screws-samples’and non-preload ball screws-samples’test measurement program, including measurement conditions, test procedures and processing of the raw data.Based on contact principle of screw and nut, established model by Pro-e, simulated with ANSYS workbench and described each step of the simulation in detail. Eventually, verified the validity of test data by comparing test data and simulation data. Compared different stiffness values of screw-sample which have different structure characteristics in effective circle of ball, looping structure or preload structure, in order to get its impact on rigidity.Studies involved mechanical structure optimization, control system design, test and simulation analysis. The test validity effectively and feasibility of measure and control system, and using test result analyzed influence of structure characteristics of ball screw on stiffness.
