The analysis and optimization of mine ventilation system has important implications for mine production and safety. Based on the Beiminghe Iron mine ventilation system, this paper uses the method of field test, data collection and analysis to establish the parameter database of the iron mine ventilation, with the help of the Three-Dimensional simulation software, a network calculation software(TFJS1.0) which is suit for Beiminghe iron mine ventilation system is developed. Second, The improved formula is used to calculate the air flow of every level which is used to dilute the explosion smoke after explosion completely whine 20 min, 40 min, 60 min, 90 min. The air flow calculation not only provides a reference for ventilation technicians and provides the basis for follow-up work. Third, according to the solution that the local resistance of the iron mine is too large, the theoretical calculation and numerical simulation is used to analyze the section suddenly reduced roadway and right-angle bend roadway which can make airsream lose large energy, the program that shrinking tunnel into reducing roadway and installing in right-angle bend tunnel junction with the retrofit scheme of wind deflector is put forword to solve the solution. Fourth, For the iron mine total air volume is always on the low side, the method of theoretical analysis and numerical simulation method is adopted to analyze the mine air flow adjustment(increasing machine station and reducing the wind resistance). And the result is that the two methods make little contribution to increasing air flow. Fifth, through the analysis of the wind pressure characteristic curve of the axial fan, finding out that the curve could be divided into high gradient and low gradient. And the iron mine’s total wind resistance curve is intersecting with the high gradient of the axial fan’s curve. That is why the mine total air flow does not increase much. The TSJS1.0 is used to simulate the "reason", and the analysis is confirmed correct through data processing and drawing graph. Finally, the solution which a main fan is installed in the return-air is proposed, and the result is good through the simulation computation and comparison analysis.
