Acrylate rubber (ACM)/nylon 12 (PA 12) thermoplastic elastomer (TPV) was prepared by melt blending dynamic vulcanization method in this paper. It not only have resistance to oil and heat of ACM but also have quality processing and mechanical propertise of PA 12. It pays more attention to TPV because of it can be widely used in car ceals and hose and so on.This paper studies the type and dosage of vulcanizing agent, the dosage of rubber and plastic ratio, dynamic vulcanization process parameters impact on the mechanical properties of TPV; The isothermal crystallization behavior and non-isothermal crystallization behavior of TPV and PA 12 were tested by differential scanning calorimeter; And the dynamic mechanical properties, microstructure, oil resistent and repeated processing performance of TPV was investigated.The results showed that the species and dosage of vulcanizing agent, the dosage of rubber and plastic ratio, dynamic vulcanization process parameters are significantly influenced of mechanical performance of dynamic vulcanization TPV. Comprehensive consideration, elected in 3# vulcanization system, the amount of 3# vulcanizer is 2phr, rubber and plastic ratio is 65/35, dynamic vulcanization time is 11 min, dynamic vulcanization temperature is 190℃, TPV has the best comprehensive properties.The research on the crystallization behavior of TPV and PA 12 study by using DSC shows that the crystallization rate of TPV was faster than PA 12, the isothermal crystallization behavior of TPV and PA12 are consistent with the Avrami equation; Mo method can analyze non-isothermal crystallization kinetics of TPV and PA 12 well, the results show that the ACM has promoting effect to the crystallization of PA 12.Glass transition temperature of DSC analysis results show that there is some compatibility between ACM and PA 12. Thermo-gravimetric analysis (TGA) the results show that along with the increase in dosage of curing agent, thermal stability is improved; With the loss of rubber and plastic ratio, thermal stability is improved. Dynamic thermal mechanical analysis (DMA) indicates that with the increase of dosage of curing agent, Tg of ACM rubber phase rise accordingly, the change of Tg of plastic phase PA 12 is not obvious; With the increase of rubber and plastic ratio, energy storage modulus E’and loss modulus E’increase, the Tg of ACM phase move to high temperature direction, the Tg of PA12 changed little; Rubber processing analyzer (RPA) of TPV rheology research shows that with the increase of dosage of curing agent, TPV less liquidity; With the increase of rubber and plastic ratio, TPV liquidity increases.Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis shows that TPV along with the increase of the rubber and plastic ratio, ACM and PA 12 two-phase interface is fuzzy, instructions ACM and PA12 have partly compatible; With the increase of dosage of curing agent, transmission electron microscopy (TEM) shows that TPV presents sea-island structure, TPV’s sea-island structure is more clear; TPV oil resistance shows that with the increase of dosage of curing agent, Oil resistant expriment showed that oil resistance is getting better and better; Preparation of TPV repeatedly processing performance is very good, So by design of experiment process and conditions of the preparation of the TPV has stable performance.
