| In this thesis, polyvinyl chloride(PVC) was blended with ground rubber tyre(GRT) or nonmetals recycled from waste printed circuit boards(N-PCB) to prepare PVC/GRTã€PVC/N-PCBã€PVC/GRT/N-PCB by the twin-screw extrusion method. The toughening efficiency of GRT and the strengthening efficiency of N-PCB were studied.Reactive monomers including glycidyl methacrylate(GMA), acrylic acid(AA) and maleic anhydride(MAH) were grafted onto ground rubber tyre(GRT) to prepare the PVC/GRT composites by directly reactive extrusion, and the mechanical properties of PVC/GRT composites was evaluated. The results showed that notched impact strength was improved by 26% in PVC/GRT-g-GMA composites at GRT loading of 5phr and the GMA/St/DCP ratio of 4/4/0.15.The Contact angle and the scanning electron microscope(SEM) results showed that GMA could improve the compatibility between PVC and GRT.N-PCB was applied in the preparation of PVC/N-PCB composites,by melt blending. The effects of loading of N-PCB, loading of E-44 and N-PCB particle sizes on the mechanical properties of PVC/N-PCB composites were investigated. The results showed that the tensile strength,elongation at break, bending strength were improved by 18%ã€29% and20%, respectively, at the N-PCB loading of 30 phr and E-44 loading of5 phr, comparing to that of pure PVC. The tensile strength, elongation at break, bending strength are improved by 12% 〠26% and 19%,respectively, comparing to that without E-44.The scanning electron microscope(SEM) results showed that E-44 could improve the interface between PVC and N-PCB.The results indicated that the notched impact strength of PVC/GRTcomposites were improved while the tensile strength, elongation at break,bending strength of PVC/N-PCB composites were improved compared to pure PVC. GRT and N-PCB were applied in the preparation of PVC/GRT/N-PCB composites all at once by reaction extrusion. The results showed that the tensile strength, elongation at break, bending strength, and notched impact strength were improved by 7%ã€44% ã€12%and 19%, respectively, at the GRT-g-GMA loading of 5phrã€the N-PCB loading of 30 phr and E-44 loading of 10 phr, comparing to that pure PVC.All the results indicated that the compatibility between GRT or N-PCB and polymers could effectively improve by chemical reaction, It is the new way to use GRT and N-PCB as a composite filler, and it has a certain economic and social value. |
