Under the situation of serious global environmental pollution and depleted resources,wood rubber plastic ternary composites(WRPC)can rationally utilize rubber-plastic and inferior wood resources to maximize the performance advantages of each component while reducing the environmental pollution caused by obsolete polymer materials.The research is of great significance for environmental protection and resource recycling.In this study,recycled polypropylene(PP)and Salix were used as main materials to prepare wood plastic composites(WPC)by compression molding.The effects of wood powder and silane coupling agent KH550 on its properties were studied.Waste rubber was added to the process and preparation of WPC production.The effects of waste rubber,KH550,elastomer POE,alkali-treated rubber and thermal aging on the properties of WRPC were studied.Then the preparation process was optimized to provide a basis for the popularization and application of the material.The results of the study indicate:(1)With the increase of Salix wood powder,the melt flow rate(MFR)of WPC is significantly decreased,the static bending strength,tensile strength and impact strength of WPC are all decreased,the elastic modulus,vicat softening temperature and heat distortion temperature while dynamic thermo-mechanical properties of WPC are all increased.Wood powder can improve the rigidity and thermal deformation resistance of WPC.The the melt flow rate(MFR),static bending strength and tensile strength of WPC increased with the increase of KH550,while the elastic modulus and impact strength of WPC is first increased and then decreased.Vicat softening temperature,heat distortion temperature and dynamic thermo-mechanical properties increased as well.Coupling agent KH550 can improve the compatibility of wood-plastic interface and the performance of WPC;(2)The static bending strength,elastic modulus and tensile strength of WRPC prepared with different addition of KH550 decreased with the increase of rubber content,while the impact strength increased with the decrease of vicat softening.temperature,heat distortion temperature and dynamic thermo-mechanical properties.Rubber can improve the impact resistance of WRPC.With the increase of KH550,the static bending strength and tensile strength of WRPC prepared with different rubber addition amounts are all increased,the elastic modulus and impact strength of WRPC prepared with different rubber addition amounts are first increased and then decreased,and the vicat softening temperature,heat distortion temperature and dynamic thermo-mechanical properties of WRPC prepared with different rubber addition amounts are all increased.(3)With the increase of POE,the static bending strength and elastic modulus of WRPC are all first increased and then decreased,the tensile strength and impact strength of WRPC are all increased,the vicat softening temperature and heat distortion temperature and dynamic thermo-mechanical properties of WRPC are all decreased.After being toughened and modified with POE,the internal components of WRPC are more cohesive and less brittle.(4)Treating obsolete rubber with NaOH solution,the mechanical properties of WRPC is first increased and then decreased,and the vicat softening temperature,heat distortion temperature,and dynamic thermo-mechanical properties of WRPC are all increased with the increase of concentration.The interfacial compatibility of WRPC prepared from alkali treated rubber is improved.(5)When the temperature of thermal aging is 90? and the time of thermal aging is 0?100 h,the mechanical properties and dynamic thermo-mechanical properties of WRPC are all deceased,the vicat softening temperature and heat distortion temperature of WRPC are all first increased and then decreased with the extension of thermal aging time.After WRPC aging,the exposed wood fiber is more obvious at the tensile section,and the resin adhered to the extracted fiber is less,which indicates that the wood fiber is easier to be extracted.
