Improvement Of The Furfural Production Process

Furfural is an important organic chemical raw material, which is widely used in petroleum industry, chemical industry, medicine, food, synthetic rubber and so on. The different process routes and the existing problems of furfural production were studied based on the investigation of production technology domestic and abroad to reform it. The scale furfural production project with biomass power generation boiler was selected to solve the high material waste and the unreasonable energy utilization problems. I took part in project design, construction, collection of data and analysis. The technical reformation had obvious effect according to the comparison of consumption and efficiency between actual production and original production. This technical reformation was mainly aimed at the existing problem of furfural enterprise with high degree automation, low raw material consumption and good economic benefit. It could solve the corn cob processing problem to bring benefits for farmers and enterprises. Biomass boiler solved the national technical problems about agricultural biomass processing and conformed to the national policy of tax returned. The reformation project could produce furfural 10 000 tons per year accompanied by high temperature and high pressure generating boiler with 75 ton steam per hour to recover waste heat in the furfural production. The project covered an area of 300 mus and investment of 100 million yuan for expected benefit 32 million yuan one year as increasing power generation and saving raw material and energy. The project working well was of reference significance for the construction of other furfural enterprise domestic.
