Volatile organic compounds(VOCs) are not only harmful to human health, but also an important precursor of PM2.5. VOCs are listed as an key air pollution control object in the Twelfth Five Year Plan. The pharmaceutical industry is the key industry of Shijiazhuang and it generates a large number of VOCs and odor pollutants in the production process.Through the investigation of the seven typical pharmaceutical enterprises and the determination of VOCs and odor pollutants emitted from the source and the surrounding of pharmaceutical industry. The distribution regularity and characteristic of VOCs and odor pollutants from the pharmaceutical industry are obtained and the characteristic pollutants in the emission source.are determinated based on which the profile database for the pharmaceutical industry of Shijiazhuang is established and the countermeasures for VOCs and odor pollution control are put forward for pharmaceutical industry of Shijiazhuang.1)During this study 82 kinds of compounds are analyzed for the samples in 69 different sampling sites.The samples are collected in SUMMMA Canister. The VOCs and odor pollutants are qualitatively analyzed and quantitatively detected by air pre-concentration and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. 10511 data are obtained. Through the research, it is found that the characteristic pollutants of VOCS in the pharmaceutical industry of Shijiazhuang are ethyl acetate, butyl acetate, butanol, acetone, dichloromethane, and toluene and so on. The characteristic pollutants of odor pollutants are sulfide, carbonyl sulfide and so on.2)Using the C/S architecture which is developed by C# in the Asp.Net MVC, the source profile database is established for the pharmaceutical industry of Shijiazhuang based on the Windows operating system. The environmental supervision department could query the VOCs pollution source information, the pollutants concentration data, compare the data and analysis the pollution trend for the pharmaceutical enterprises.3)The paper puts forward the countermeasures to improve the VOCS pollution from management, technical and scientific research aspects according to the pollution situation of VOCs and odor pollutants from pharmaceutical industry of Shijiazhuang.
