With the wheels of the world continue to move forward, the development of the society, changing the development of science and technology, from the simple application of the beginning of the nature and to the present development and change the nature, our relationship with nature never stop. Coal, as the planet’s most original oldest and most precious resource, it is a free gift of nature to human, people’s use of coal driving machine operation, use of coal to provide heat, and then change the world, change our life. So the exploitation of the coal has become part of world development essential. However, the exploitation of the coal is difficult, underground mining accidents in recent years appeared frequently, often reported domestic gas explosion and other adverse events of death. So how to quickly and effectively for down hole personnel rescue work has become the domestic and international research issues, and if you want to increase the successful rescue rate, to achieve fast and accurate location of underground personnel became top priority.This paper mainly describes the current research situation of underground personnel positioning system, based on the consideration of the special underground environment, through the actual detection and comparison, put forward the feasible measures of three kinds of underground personnel positioning system and research.1、based on RFID RF technology as the foundation, to build and to study and put forward suitable for underground personnel active rough type positioning system,through the radio frequency technology can before the accident location rough type distribution and personnel information generally underground personnel.2、Based on infrared imaging technology, put forward suitable for precise passive mine personnel positioning system construction and the research, through passive capture heat signals emitted by human life, and then through imaging techniques, accurately find out the smoke from the fire behind the location of the human body.3、Specific studies on active radar to detect personnel positioning system, in order to continuous wave radar detection technology as a starting point, through the heart and other organs activities spontaneous emission specific electromagnetic wave signals, active detection, behind the wall obstructions whether there is a specific personnel after life signals, thus ensuring people trapped underground In this paper, through the study on the three kinds of technology, and the combination of three kinds of different location system technology, the combination of active and passive, rough and precise combination of complementary to formulate personnel positioning system. Through the combination of the three technologies, let the underground personnel positioning system has more accuracy,fast adaptability and flexibility.
