In Guangdong Province, the growing market share and rejection rate of household appliance has make the waste household appliances become one of the fastest growing waste streams. The waste generation quantities of household appliances (air conditioner, washing machine, color TV, refrigerator, and computer) are Approximately14million to15million units according to the prediction of Environmental Protection Office in Guangdong Province, the way of landfill or incineration can certainly cause serious secondary pollution. The theoretical research, system construction, technology development and application of the recycling and disposing of the waste household appliances in China start relatively late. There hasn’t been any impeccable recycling network design. For the construction on the recycling network of waste houldhold appliances, Guangdong should be a demonstration role, as one of the most developed areas.Based on Guangdong Province Special Funds for Low-carbon Development Project, Jiangmen philosophy and social sciences planning project for Low-carbon Development Project, combined with the researches and relevant of home and abroad, the recycling network design of the waste household appliances in Guangdong Province is studied, according to the circular economic theory, complex system theory, using reverse logistics recycling theory and location theory.1. Based on the Investigations and the compare with western developed country, the current and insufficient of the recycling network of waste household appliances were comprehensive analysis.2. The thesis estimates the waste quantities of household appliances and analyzes the temporal and spatial distribution. The estimation of the waste household appliances is important for the design of the recycling network system. Basing on the contrast of the advantages and disadvantages of the estimation methods home and abroad, Time Series Forecasting method is used to predict the sales of computer, Stanford Model is used to predict the waste quantities of computer and Market Supply A Model is used to predict the waste quantities of the other household appliances from except computer, considering the level of economic development, and the level of consumption include habits in Guangdong Province. The result shows that the amount of the waste in growing fast, and iis distribution rate in the Pearl River Delta is relatively higher than other areas.3. The thesis explores the network design of the waste household appliances. A recycling network of four-story structure, that were obsolete layer, recycling layer, storage layer and processing layer, was built for the waste household appliances. The six waste dealing centers, planned by "The12th five-year plan of Solid waste pollution prevention of Guangdong Province", were taken as the processing layer. The Setting Service Coverage Area (SSCA) method was used to optimize the recycling layer built by the enterprise. And the Capacity Limited Multi-Location (CLML) model, in order to minimizing the total cost, was established to solve the design of transit/storage station. And it solves the spatial layout of each facility and combination problems by GIS, GPS, Google Map technology. Altogether,5907recycling sites were chosen and100%of the waste household appliances can be recycling. The4transit/storage stations were need to serve for Zhan Jiang, Yang Jiang, Yunfu, Jieyang, Miezhou, Chaozhou, Shantou and Qingyuan, and the waste of the other cities were directly send to the dealing centers from the recycling sites.4. It studies the benefits and costs of the Disposal Company of the Waste Household Appliances. The Break Even Point Model, established by the analysis of the treatment process of waste household appliances and the analysis of the benefits and costs, was used to work out the scale economic magnitude of the disposal company. Then the scale economic magnitude was taken to compare with the actual workload. The results showed that more than half of the six disposal centers were at loss from2012to2020. The northern Guangdong hazardous waste disposal company could be profitable only in2017and2018. And the western Guangdong hazardous waste disposal center was always at a loss except in2019. But the disposal centers were expected to be profitable when the annual processing capacity reached the scale economic magnitude.
