Teaching practice plays an important role in educating student,with the opportunity of teaching practice,students can not only integrate the theories with practice but also experience the sense of pride and responsibility as a real teacher,but many problems are found in our traditional teaching practice,the most prominent one is the lack of time for teaching practice,students do not have enough chances to teach in a real classroom.Yunnan is a less developed province with many ethnic minorities,elementary education lags behind.In the rural areas,shortage of teachers is a common phenomenon.In addition,there is a huge gap between rural teachers and urban teachers in comprehensive quality.Replacement teaching practice emerged due to this situation.Four chapters are included in this thesis,the first chapter leads us to know what is the replacement teaching practice.The second chapter attaches importance to teaching student should get involved in the process of professional development.You can learn the definition of teacher professional development,community practice theory,why teacher should participant in the process from this chapter.The third chapter is the core of this thesis,there are two parts in this chapter.The first part reveals it is urgent to enhance the English and mandarin of teaching student;the hardware of schools in the rural areas have improved a lot in recent years; a proportion of student teachers we can’t ignore are not satisfied with the living conditions and the monthly cost is much higher if you compare with the expenditure in campus;student teachers should perform more communication with people around them and their tutors;the experience of teaching practice has a little impact on what kind of job the student teacher are willing to do after graduation.In the second part,there is a comparison in specialized knowledge and teaching skills which chemistry teachers need between teaching students and teachers who are replaced to take part in the training program,and I draw a conclusion that neither side outclass the other side overwhelmingly,each side possesses it’s advantage.The fourth chapter is a summary of chapter three and suggestions are presented to tackle the issues raised before.
