As the CNC machine tool is becoming increasingly intelligent, CNC system need to monitor various signals such as : temperature, vibration, power, tracking error and tool condition. The design of this device is based on HNC- 848 platform. It has been designed as one of the HIO-1000 modules. It uses STM32 and FPGA as the cores to control the process of collecting high frequency sensor data and storing them, which also realizes the interconnectivity with HIO-1000. This system can collect effective vibration signals or other high frequency signals in order to make up for the HNC- 8’s fieldbus NCUC which has a limited speed.Based on STM32 and FPGA, this data collection and storage device has a high and reliable sampling frequency and precision. To meet the actual requirement of CNC system, the main works are as follows: 1. Analyze the requirement of the HNC-8 and make an overall design of this device, include the AD conversion module and the data collecting and storage module. 2. Design the printed circuit board of the storage module and HIO-1073’s ad conversion module. Design the main chip circuit and related peripheral circuit for the acquisition device. 3. Design the software programs to realize the functions of AD conversion, FSMC data transmission, USB data transmission, SD card storage and Fat FS file system. 4. Use the standard waveform signal generator to do the experiment to test the performance of this device. Perform an experiment of high frequency sensors data acquisition based on the real machine tool to use this device to collect the vibration signal data.Measure machine tool vibration acceleration, and analyze the data processing.
