The technology of the inner detection in long distance oil pipeline is one of the most important technologies of pipeline corrosion detection in the world, the smooth moving of detector in the pipeline is a key to guarantee the accuracy, efficiency and reliability of the detection. Currently, researching on the technology of controlling the inner detector are still not enough all around the world and always rely on the methods, such as theoretical calculation, numerical simulation and field test, so this paper develop a experimental device for controlling the inner detector’s velocity and future research the ways of controlling the inner detector’s velocity, control unit and control algorithm through fluid hydrodynamic experiment to inner detector, which play an important role to engineering application of the technology of long distance pipe inner detector.This paper design and manufacture a experiment device for controlling the inner detector’s velocity in oil pipeline by reference of the technology of oil pipe, water tunnel device and modern measurement technique. This experimental device is used to simulate the movement of inner detector in horizontal straight pipe and have the function of launching or receiving inner detector. The sectional type of optoelectronic switches which is developed can measure the velocity of inner detector effetely. The data collection system based on PLC can continuously collect experiment parameters, such as the flow pressure, flow rate and velocity of inner detector. The inner detector’s experimental prototype which is developed can be upload with discharge control device expediently. This experimental device meet the need of experiments for studying the technology about controlling the inner detector’s velocity and provides a strong support for future research the technology about controlling the inner detector’s velocity in oil pipe. An self-balanced discharge speeder is proposed and designed innovatively, which can eliminate the pressure fluctuations from complex flow field and make the inner detection move in the pipe with a stabilize velocity.This paper proposes a self balanced discharge speeder. By the way of numerical computation, the driving force that adjustment sheets accepted in different expand degree is calculate and the type of tension spring is choose. Experimental results show that the self balanced discharge speeder can effectively eliminate the pressure fluctuations from complex flow field and make the inner detector move in the pipe with a stabilize velocity.The experimental device developed provides favorable research platform to future research the technology about controlling the inner detector’s velocity. Self-balanced discharge speeder is one of the important, applicative and effective technology control the inner detector’s velocity.
