This paper studied the influencing factors of the absorption of paper-making reconstituted tobacco substate. Though analysed and studied these factors, the producer can optimize the process conditions better while using actually, regulate various kinds of influencing factors in time, stabilize the quality of reconstituted tobacco products, obtain better economic benefits. The thesis determination the assay methed of reconstituted tobacco substate’s absorption, then studied the influencing factors of paper-making reconstituted tobacco substrate’s absorption by beating technology and papermaking processes.(1)Through researched and compared the method of Klemm, Cobb and flooding’s applicability on the absorption of paper-making reconstituted tobacco substare. It was show that the Cobb method was suitable for the reconstituted tobacco substare, "10-piece treatment" is confirmed to determinate the absorption of reconstituted tobacco substare, the time is 30s, the results indicated by the suction amount.(2)With the increase of beating degree, the absorption of reconstituted tobacco substare reduced gradually. Under the same beating degree of tobacco leaf, the best tobacco stalk pulp degree was 18°SR. When the tobacco pulp and fiber plup beating degree was between 20°SR to 25°SR, the reconstituted tobacco substare had the best performance.With the increase of moisture content and grammage, the absorption of reconstituted tobacco substare reduced, the moisture content of reconstituted tobacco substare could be controlled at 30%-40%, the grammage was between 60g/m2to 65g/m2. As the adding quantity of tobacco stalk pulp in tobacco pulp, the absorption of reconstituted tobacco substare first increased then decreased, when the tobacco stalk pulp content was between 50% to 60%, that could be more favorable to improve the absorption of reconstituted tobacco substare.Select different types of pulp added to the reconstituted tobacco substare, it was showed that the important influence was the content of fibrilla in the pulp, the higher the fibrilla content, the better the reconstituted tobacco substare absorption. At the same time, as the adding quantity of fibre, the reconstituted tobacco substare absorption had a trend of increase, the amount of plus fiber should controlled within the range of (15-20)%.The filler was studied on the reconstituted tobacco substare absorption, the results showed that the important influence was the filler’s specific surface area, the larger the specific surface area of filler, the the better the reconstituted tobacco substare absorption. As the adding quantity of filler, the absorption of reconstituted tobacco substare first increased then decreased, the amount of filler should controlled within the range of (20-25)%. At the same dosage of filler, the absorbent of reconstituted tobacco substare which was added the PCC was better than the reconstituted tobacco substare which was added the GCC.The guar gum and CMC were added to the reconstituted tobacco as retention agent, the experimental results showed that withing the increase of the amount of retention agent, the absorption of reconstituted tobacco substare first increased then decreased. The amount of the guar gum and CMC should be respectively controlled within 0.2% -0.3% and 0.1% -0.2%. At the same dosage of retention agent, the absorbent of reconstituted tobacco substare which was added the guar gum was better than the reconstituted tobacco substare which was added the CMC.
