The oil spill seriously threat to the environment. It is important that how to determine the source of the oil spill quickly and accurately in order to take effective control measures. Today, most of the identification of oil spill is single crude oil, and the study on the fluorescence characteristics of blend crude oil is few. The study on single oil can not solve the complex problems. Therefore, in order to provide a technical support for the identification of blend crude oil, the fluorescence characteristic of mixture of maritime fuel and crude oil was discussed in this study. In this study, five kinds of crude oils (Daqing, Kuwait, Dubai, Oman and Indonesia) and two maritime fuel oils were used as the experimental samples, using constant-wavelength synchronous fluorescence spectroscopy method to detect the fluorescent characteristics of oil samples. Five mixture samples were determined according to the fluorescence intensity of single oils. The No.1 maritime fuel was blended with Daqing and Kuwait oil, and the No.2 maritime fuel was blended with Dubai, Oman and Indonesia oil. The effect of blend ratio on fluorescence intensity is examined under 3 characteristic wavelengths (304nm,336nm,388nm). The weathering influence on fluorescence characteristics was discussed according to a 30 days weathering experiment.No.1 maritime fuel oil blend with crude oil:The fluorescence intensity of mixture of No.1 fuel oil and crude oil were significantly affected by the mixing ratio. The fluorescence intensity of mixture of maritime fuel and crude oil enhanced linearly with the increase of oil which intensity is stronger. The linear correlation is the most significant under the 336nm wavelength, and the linearly dependent coefficient are 0.9871 and 0.9828. It is found that, the mixed fluorescence intensity increase slightly at the first 10 days and then remained stable. The fluorescence intensity is similar in the two weathering period, which enhanced in terms of the increase of single oil with stronger intensity. It is the same as the fluorescence characteristics changed with blend ratio before weathering.No.2 maritime fuel oil blend with crude oil:The fluorescence intensity of mixture of No.2 fuel oil and crude oils were significantly affected by the mixing ratio. The mixed fluorescent intensity of the mixture of maritime fuel and crude oil enhanced with the increase of oil which intensity is stronger. The linear relationship was the best under the 388nm wavelength, and the correlation coefficient is 0.9956,0.9980 and 0.9801. The mixed fluorescence intensity changes slightly during the first 13 weathering days and then remain stable. With the increase of oil whose intensity is stronger, the fluorescence intensity of mixture enhanced as before weathering.
