Research On The Post Processing Of Turn-milling Machining Center Based On UG NX

Multi-axis machine tools and milling composite machine tools have been applied more and more widely in manufacturers. Multi-axis machine tools have become the main stream which modern machine tool manufacturers are competing to develop. The turning milling composite machine tool with 5 axes developed by different manufacturers has different structures. Therefore, general CAD/CAM software doesn’t have targeted post processing function. Currently we have a diversified digital system market. As a result, the traditional post processing can’t satisfy the new needs any more, and the general level of post processing is not so high. Machining operators spend a lot of energy on post without obtaining good results. In order to meet the diversified needs in production, this article focuses on the post processing of DMG Beta 1250 TC configuring SIEMENS 840 D CNC system, which has a five axis linkage milling composite machine tool.The article theoretically states the algorithm of post processing of five axis linkage CNC turning and milling composite machine tool. Based on the universal post processor of UG / Post Builder, machine parameters, procedures, tool path parameter, and NC code format are set, G code and M code instructions are added to the corresponding position in the program, and using TCL language custom user command, rotating angle calculation and translational axis displacement coordinate subroutines are added according to the CNC system of milling composite CNC machine tool.Last but not least, via taking the process of Integral impeller parts for example, the article explores the technology and process, and processing on the DMG Beta 1250 TC machine tool, tests and verifies the accuracy of multi axis programming and post processing. The article is a particle reference to the development of the post processing of multi axis machine tool based on UG NX.
