In face of the serious situation of coal mining in our country, more than 90% of the mine engineering construction period is still occupied by roadway construction period.Improving the driving efficiency is of great significance to shorten the construction cycle and ensure the efficiency and stability of production of mine.In the 1321 (3) Yun-sun link lane and detour of Huainan mine, most of the rocks of roadway are the massively bulk and hard sandstone. Using the ordinary blasting excavation, each excavation depth is only over the range of 1.6 to 1.8 meter and monthly average penetration is only 80-90 meter. The traditional blasting excavation problem is still urgent, such as the inferior quality of roadway forming, the high ratio of massive rocks and the decentralized blasting heap, sometimes, it damages the surrounding equipments and seriously affects the production efficiency, which leading to not to satisfy the requirements of mining. To solve the above problems, The quasi-parallel double wedge cutting method is proposed in this paper used for driftage of the coal roadway. In this paper, the advantages and practical feasibility of the quasi-parallel double wedge cutting method are confirmed by three kinds of ways over theoretical analysis, experiment to field The advantages of uniformly blasting for fractured rocks, the centralized blasting heap and the smoothness at the bottom of hole are obtained based on theoretical analysis, conducted by the quasi-parallel double wedge cutting method; Three blasting tests are carried out by using the quasi-parallel double wedge cutting method, the results show that the broken rocks are uniform, there are no massive rocks and the average depth for cavity is 23.9 cm, the higher utilization rate of energy and the 95.6% of average utilization rate of hole are also acheived; After verifying the quasi-parallel double wedge cutting method on the basis of theoretical analysis and experimental, the same tunneling method is implemented to the 1321 (3) Yun-sun link lane and detour of Huainan mine. Repeated blasting tests in the construction sites suggest that the utilization rate of hole is over 86% and has the highest value of 95.7%, the average value of 93% shows the better blasting excavation. The measured data on the scene similar with the data measured in laboratory indicates that the uniform rocks, the centralized blasting heap, the extremely low bulks and no harm to the surrounding equipments greatly improve the efficiency of mucking and tunneling. Given the above research results, the problem of continuous tension about mining and excavating is solved by the quasi-parallel double wedge cutting method, which will bring enormous economic and social benefits for coal mining, and has the certain guiding significance to the similar roadway excavation in coal mine.
