This topic researched the heat preservation performance of the extruded polystyrene (XPS) insulation box in different ambient temperature environment and different quality of cool storage agent, aim to determine the most suitable refrigeration insulation packaging form of medicine, and in order to prolong the time of heat preservation of frozen pharmaceutical packaging, as far as possible to make it meet the short-distance transport of 2-8℃ for 24 h. At the same time set up the relation model among the time of heat preservation, the quality of cool storage agent and the ambient temperature, so it can provide reference for the practical application.According to the previous data, we select 30 mm thick XPS heat preservation box as cold storage insulation boxes of the drug. To increase the heat preservation function and have a better appearance, both inside and outside the box paste the aluminum foil. Based on the lateral placement of cool storage agent inside the incubator, we determined a new placed way by the single factor’s experiment, it is head face, top surface and the upper side face.Then studied the impact of the quality mass ratio of the cool storage agent and refrigerated drugs on XPS heat preservation box insulation performance under the outside condition of temperature and humidity for 23℃/50% RH, includes five kinds of mass ratio, respectively 3:1,7:2,4:1,9:2 and 5:1. The experimental results show that:with the increase of quality mass ratio, four of the whole six test points showed an increasing overall trend of the heat preservation time, and another two test point’s trends are same, both are decline after increase first and then increase again. When the cool storage agent and refrigerated drugs quality ratio is 4:1, incubator can satisfy heat preservation time of refrigerated drugs in 2-8℃ to 24 hours.From the analysis of the various temperature curves of test points inside the incubator, it can concluded the temperature distribution within the incubator. Different quality ofthe cool storage agent put inside the box will keep different heat preservation time. But all followed one tendency,that is the bottom testing points inside the box can keep the longest time,then are the middle ones and top ones. We found the top of the box is the part that the temperature rise most easily, this place can be most easily affected by sealing, and at the bottom the temperature rise slowest, and the center position is the most stable part of the box temperature, because this part almost not affected by the internal air convection.Select the center point to test the heat preservation performance in different quality ratio under different external temperature and humidity, the external condition consists of three different kinds of temperature and humidity, respectively are 23℃/50%RH,30℃ /85% RH and 40㈧/90% RH. Based on the curved surface equation,set up about 3d surface model about the time of heat preservation, mass ratio and the outside temperature and humidity of, we chosen two different temperature and mass ratio to make verification, the results found that the error range is within 10%,so the equation has an effectively certain reference value. The final steps are the drop and vibration experiments to test packaging performance of the box.
