Coal is the important basic energy and raw material resource in our country, which plays an important role in industrial development. Coal mine safety production is the basis of sustainable development, the safety inspection before entering the well is an important part to ensure the production of coal mine. In order to improve the level of coal mine safety production and management, a new security scheme in this paper was proposed which based on iris recognition technology, combined with miners’safety assessment and alcohol detection. The main achievements of this paper are summarized as follows:(1) Through the investigation of the subdivision of Shangxi JCP Energy Group, meeting with electrical engineers and dispatchers. Through the investigation, we learnt about their actual needs for the security system of mine entrance and designed the mine security system.(2) Biological information monitoring and processing technology was studied to apply to the security of coal mine. KAIris 18 was selected to register and identify iris information, and took advantage of the resistive 5-wire touch screen as the human-computer interface to carry out safety training examination for miners, what’s more, SAD-300A was applied to miners’drinking test. From the above, the paper completed the construction of hardware platform for the security system.(3) The application system of information collection and data management for the coal mine safety was designed by module separating software design method, Visual C++ 6.0 as the IDE, and Microsoft SQL Server 2005 as the database server. The functions of the management software are as follows, miners’iris attendance, safety operation and training, alcohol consumption monitoring, data statistics report, system authority management, etc.(4) The designed security system was installed and applied in Yu Ling coal mine. In this process, the debugging of the software and hardware system was completed. At last, the in-situ testing results showed that the well security system based on biological information processing not only can meet the need of coal mine safety production, but also protect the safety of workers into the well better.In this thesis, there are 45 illustrations,8 tables and 33 references.
