With the development of high speed and high precision grinding technology, grinding is applied to all kinds of precision and high precision machining. As the most important tool on the grinding machine, the balance precision of grinding wheel is more and more important. Due to the manufacturing process and material composition of the grinding wheel, the grinding wheel is prone to uneven defects, therefore, it is very meaningful to study the balance detection principle and detection device of the grinding wheel. In view of the disadvantages of traditional grinding wheel horizontal static balance detection method with low detection precision, low detection efficiency and cumbersome operation, this paper puts forward the idea of a vertical grinding wheel static balance detection device based on angle measurement. Firstly, this paper is based on the basic theory of large rotor vertical static balance detection, analysis and Research on the detection method and device structure of large rotor static balance, summed up the key technology to realize the vertical static balance test, laying the foundation for the design of the static balance measuring device of the vertical grinding wheel based on the angle measurement.Secondly, compared with large and heavy rotors, the general grinding wheel has the characteristics of light weight and small size, based on which, we established the geometric model and mathematical model of grinding wheel static balance testing system. Further, designed the mechanical structure part of the detecting device, in order to meet the requirements of the detection device on the sensitivity and stability, focused on the mass parameters of the support plate and self-aligning ring design, and optimized the combination of centroid to the spherical bearing center distance. The moment of friction resistance of spherical support is an important factor to determine the performance of the test device, so the low friction coefficient is chosen as the support. The sensitivity and resolution of the detecting device are analyzed.Next, the sensor detecting part of this paper, on the one hand requires high precision, on the other hand requires a small effect on the detection accuracy of the device. Therefore, using MPU6050(Processor Unit Micro) as the angle sensitive element,communicating with computer by wireless Bluetooth transmission, and the detection data is displayed by the host computer software Mini IMU, according to the coordinate transformation of the rotation angle X, Y axis into the swing angle of Z axis. As an error part of the static balance measurement, the sensor should be given attention at the time of installation and commissioning of positioning, and take appropriate measures to compensate.Finally, according to the detection method proposed in this paper, the mechanical body part and sensor detecting part of the detecting device are produced, installed and debugged respectively, and then complete the experimental device, many times of static balance detection experiments have been carried out. Through the analysis of the test data, it shows that the static balance detection device of the vertical grinding wheel based on MPU6050 is feasible in principle and method.Research work of this paper is not only to lay a foundation for the grinding wheel static balance precision testing, and verify the feasibility of this detection method, but also provide new ideas and references for static balance sophisticated detection tools to design and theoretical research of small rotor.
