Along with development of human society and environment pollution become a stumbling block to the development of human, due to fluorine alkyl chloride and ozone layer effect, so that the ozone layer has been destroyed, so gradually halon fire agent gradually be eliminated. Water mist fire extinguishing system using water as a fire extinguishing agent, clean, high fire extinguishing efficiency, no damage to the environment, so in the industry has been well received, and gradually being promoted and used. At present, water mist fire extinguishing technology has become one of the hot topics in the field of fire safety technology in the world.Research on high pressure water mist cannot do without experiment, but due to various constraints, such as:the experimental conditions of investment, research funding huge limitation, various factors on the accuracy of experimental data and the limitation of taking into account the safety factors in the experiment and so on, it is difficult to pass the experiment to the completion of the high pressure water mist the research of computer simulation technology, so there are more than compensating for the shortcomings, it has the advantages of less investment, quick effect, short time, high reliability test, but also can describe the flow parameters in the flow of time, given the change of each physical quantity, free flow reconstruction and diagnostic analysis has become more and more popular, the numerical simulation technology has become an indispensable means of fire science research. By using simulation software FDS we can reveal the water mist fire suppression in the process of temperature field distribution, slices of flue gas flow in different times and the changes in temperature, can also through video animation simulate viewing fire combustion process of change, so the combination of experiment and numerical simulation is necessarily important avenues for future research.The paper mainly introduces the origin and characteristics of high pressure water mist, definition, extinguishing mechanism introduction, common high pressure water mist fire extinguishing system introduced at home and abroad to carry out the application, through in Polytechnic experimental roadway, build the experimental platform for analog reference, using FDS fire simulation software to model, change test parameters (height, pressure and fire location) to complete the water mist extinguishing pool fire research analysis, to obtain the rule of the change of the temperature and other parameters, simulation results and the experimental result is consistent, reasonable results...
