Compared with the traditional pure water mist,the additive water mist fire extinguishing system can improve the fire extinguishing effect by cooperating with the physical action and chemical action.And because it has good fire performance,low cost,low toxicity or non-toxic,will not cause pollution to the environment and other advantages,gradually become a hot field of fire science research.However,at present,researchers at home and abroad have carried out water-mist fire suppression effectiveness experiments mainly for water-soluble hydrocarbon fuels such as n-heptane,gasoline and kerosene,while there are few experimental studies on water-mist suppression effectiveness of water-soluble fuels such as ethanol,and the low-pressure water-mist system is not ideal for ethanol pool fire suppression.Therefore,a series of fire extinguishing performance experiments were carried out in this paper to study the effectiveness of high pressure water mist system containing additives in suppressing ethanol pool fire.Therefore,by building a water mist fire extinguishing experimental platform,this paper first studied the effect of installing different water mist nozzles in the pure water mist system to extinguish ethanol pool fires of different oil pan sizes,and then obtained the optimal comparative experimental conditions for subsequent studies.Then,six alkali metal salts,NaCl?KCl?Na2CO3?K2CO3?NaHCO3 and KHCO3,were selected according to literature research and experimental objectives.Three foaming agents,including SDBS?CAB35 and APG0810,were used as water mist additives in a systematic fire extinguishing experiment.The experimental results show that adding all kinds of additives can improve the fire extinguishing efficiency of water mist in different degrees.The fire extinguishing performance of water mist containing all kinds of alkali metal salts is in the order of KHCO3>NaHCO3>NaCl>K2CO3>Na2CO3>KCl,and the fire extinguishing performance of water mist containing all kinds of foaming agents is in the order of:SDBS>CAB35>APG0810.In addition,in order to explore the synergistic fire-extinguishing effect of additives,KHCO3,which has the best fire-extinguishing effect among the two additives selected in this paper,was combined with SDBS for fire-extinguishing experiment,and the results showed that:The combined extinguishing time was less than that of the single additive,and there was a synergistic extinguishing effect between KHCO3 and SDBS,and the best formula was 2.5%KHCO3+3.5%SDBS.Figure[39]Table[19]Reference[90]...
