Pressure water jet recycling junked tire technology is a good supplement to traditional methods of tire recycling,its high recovery efficiency,clean pollution,etc. bring a broad application prospect.Junked tire will be broken into powder under the high energy and impact of high pressure water jet which make rubber material departing from steel and fine powder were recovered.The uses and recovery value of recovered powder are different depending on its particle size.Changing the jets operating parameters to affect the recovered powder particle size in order to receive the fine powder.Therefore,this paper studies the influence of jet parameters on the recovery of powder particle size,to determine the optimum operating parameters.The main work done as follows:At first,test for recycling Michelin tires has been done in extracurricular enterprise,by way of orthogonal experiment,changing parameters of the jet in tire crushing test,to study influence of the jet pressure,nozzle moving speed and target distance on the recovery powder’s particle size,so that optimum operating parameters can be found.Besides,single factor experiments are used to verify the results obtained by orthogonal experiments.Finally,regression analysis between jet parameters and the average particle size of recovered powder are carried out,mathematical model is obtained.Foremore,evolution of high pressure water jet breaking junked tire are simulated and the results are analyzed.Firstly,paper obtains deformation process and pressure variation on impact surface of the rubber material.Secondly,paper obtains the mechanism of jet breaking rubber materials by analyzing the internal rubber equivalent strain.Finally,through the cutting deep simulation of rubber material,the jet parameters’effect on the depth of cutting is obtained.Analysis of simulation results are consistent with the experimental data which verifies the feasibility of numerical simulation.Finally,through the flow field simulation of some common types of nozzles,the effects of nozzle structure parameters on jet flow field characteristics is obtained.Through orthogonal test on different structural parameters of cone straight nozzle,paper obtains the primary and secondary effects of the various parameters on nozzle exit velocity.Finally, structure parameters of cone straight nozzle are optimized and the feasibility of optimization are verified by simulation experiments.
