In the process of drilling slim hole horizontal well at the Sulige gas field, rock drillability is poor, whipstock point choice is difficult, horizontal section trajectory is complex, and the complex geological conditions cause the downhole safety problem.Aimed at the problems mentioned above, the research and applications of increasing drilling speed technology of horizontal well in Sulige Gas Field were carried out in this paper,which is with practical significance.On the basis of the rheological characteristics of the three blocks of Sulige Gas Field, the drill bits were optimized: the MD9535 ZC and FX56 R PDC bits for the upper section of a vertical well selection,the MD6633 ZC bit for the selection deflecting interval section, the Halliburton FX55 D bit for the horizontal section were selected respectively; the hydraulic parameters were optimized: calculation model of the slimhole horizontal well drilling annulus pressure drop was given and under the conditions of the maximum bit hydraulic power and the jet impact force the optimization hydraulic parameters were determined;the structure of the well was optimized: the structure of slimhole horizontal well being applying to the geological characteristics of Sulige Gas Field was desgned; the well course control was optimized: considering the Sulige Gas Field ground conditions the whipstock point, wellbore curvature and maximum deviation angle were obtained.The increasing drilling speed technology of the slimhole horizontal well was applied to 12 slimhole horizontal wells,such as Well Su25-36-11 H of Sulige Gas Field, obtaining a better drilling speed.
