The three-dimensional virtual simulation training system based on virtual reality technology is widely used in various industries because of its immersion、interactive learning mode, and it also gradually extends to the oil field. Nowadays, most of this kind training system can only achieve independent position interactions study, but they are powerless in collaboration work. Especially for small-scale workover in oil field which kind of training system demand more, it’s real-time interaction technology between multiple positions needs further development.This paper introduces the research background、significance and present situation of the related technology on virtual simulation training system of small-scale workover with multiple positions collaboration, and also elaborates the virtual reality technology 、 elated concepts on distributed virtual reality technology. Based on the theoretical basis discuss the network system structure and development model collaboration suit for multiple positions collaboration system, and design the development framework and function structure of virtual simulation training system on small-scale workover based on multi-user collaboration.Based on professional knowledge about small-scale workover, divide the task knowledge of job, and puts forward two kinds of knowledge inspection method of training process. Based on CSCW theory study the collaboration awareness model, and put forward the virtual environment, action items, work process and classification and implementation method involved in the four types of sensory information.Based on research about physical kinematic positioning algorithm and path smooth processing technology, realize the prediction methods of navigation position in distributed virtual environment, and ensure the consistency between the system simulation results and the state of virtual object.The actual development of virtual simulation training system of small-scale workover based on Multi-user Collaboration has been completed, it chooses the standard operating procedures of small-scale workover as the key points of training content, integrates 3D virtual environment of well site based on Virtools software, and realizes the interactive features of virtual role 、 virtual instruments and equipment in virtual environment. Realize message communication between client and server in hybrid network architecture based on the VBS service model, through managing distributed object and controlling the motion of local objects, realize the information sharing between user role’s avatar,includes position 、direction、actions、chatting words, making several people involved in collaboration and work over training at the same time. The new development model of this system makes up for the defect of the virtual training system in collaboration, and effectively improves the training effect, and also opens up a new thought for the future development direction of virtual training.
