In recent years, the virtual reality technology and its interactive devices developed rapidly. It is one of the three most promising technology in the21st century. With the development of VR, it has been used in the construction and development of high-interactive virtual laboratory widely.High performance liquid chromatography is a complex and widespread separation analysis instruments. In the experiment involved in many parameters such as the the ratio of mobile phase, flow velocity, detected wavelength etc. The retention time and separating degree are affected by the parameters. And the mathematical theory model associated with chromatograp-hic peak is very complex.Based on the liquid chromatographic instrument of analysis, virtual laboratory could be a solution to these problems. But in the construction process on virtual laboratory need to apply to the simulation software operating knowledge, chemical theory knowledge, experiment knowledge and so on. We need a liquid chromatography virtual laboratory which has virtual simulation environmen, virtual instrument with high interactive and workstation with completed functions. But there is no record about this in the past literatures. Based on the reasons above, the software is researched and developed.Based on the research of prediction model, online workstation with perfect function and offline workstation with strong ability of data processing are builded. Based on the theoretical model of liquid chromatography and the liquid chromatography experimental data of the sulfa drugs and catechin compounds, the forecasting model of reserve parameters in different separation condition is constructed. And the delay effect of chromatographic peak is described by exponentially modified Gaussian function (EMG). To construct the3d experimental scene and workstations through the Virtools platform, and lots of functions are realized, such as the dynamic simulation various parameters of3d and2d chromatographic data in different separation condition of gradient elution; collection, storage, overlap and analysis capabilities of the chromatographic data. High simulation high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) virtual laboratory and complete function workstation system are developmented.The comparison results of the simulation chromatogram and the experimental chromatogram demonstrate that the rationality of the theoretical model.The simulation results and the practical results are very similar. The relationship of aboso-rbency, wavelength and time is showed in the3D chromatogram. Through the qualitative analysis of catechin compounds in different separation condition, to help students to learn the esse-nce and function of gradient elution. In addition, the software also has the function of fault diagnosis and instrument maintenance, realtime tracking evaluation etc. This software has grat practical value in the instrument operation training and significance of being used as refere-nce for the development of other network virtual laboratory of analytical instruments.
