Elastic band is an elastic fastening fabric which contains latex silk or rubber thread. It is also known as the swimming belt and belongs to one kind of ribbon products. As a high elasticity of chemical fiber fabric, with the increase of time, the dimensional stability, anti-stress relaxation,resistance to fatigue and elasticity of the elastic band will slowly become worse. As an indispensable product accessories, the dimensional stability, anti-stress relaxation, resistance to fatigue and elasticity of the elastic band are very important, they are important factors affecting the product quality of elastic band, not only directly affect the actual usability of elastic band, but also indirectly affect the quality of people’s life. As a consequence, in this paper, the material was changed and organizational structure was optimally designed on the basis of the ordinary knitted elastic band, through the parameters and scheme of elastic band were optimally designed, the dimensional stability, anti-stress relaxation, resistance to fatigue of the PET / PTT composite filament interwoven and knitted elastic band were significantly improved, and the elastic recovery rate was improved. At the same time, the theoretical and experimental bases of knitted elastic band’s new design and development were provided, this also has important theoretical guidance meaning and practical significance. As a result, increasing the dimensional stability, anti-stress relaxation, resistance to fatigue and elasticity of the elastic band is the important research direction of the elastic band. This will not only increase the additional value of the elastic band and improve the economic benefits of enterprises, but also can improve the quality of people’s life and promote social consumption.This paper studied the fabric parameters and mechanical properties of the PET / PTT composite filament interwoven and knitted elastic band, and established PET / PTT composite yarn interwoven knitted elastic band elastic recovery rate model.By studying the fabric structure parameters of PET / PTT composite filament interwoven knitted elastic band, the conclusions were got, when the columns number ratio of the interwoven knitted elastic band ’s PTT / PET composite filament and polyester drawn textured yarn was 5:0(20 column knitting chaining coil are all PET/PTT composite filament),after washing 50 times,the width remained unchanged, dimension was stable; drawing ratio deviation was minimum,elasticity recovery rate was maximum, deviation change was minimum, fatigue resistance was the best.By studying the products parameters of PET / PTT composite filament interwoven knitted elastic band, it could be found that, after test properties tests of five kinds of PET / PTT composite filament interwoven knitted elastic band which contained different numbers latex silk, the results could be analyzed, the properties of width, drawing ratio, elasticity recovery rate were in line with the relevant national standards. On width and elasticity recovery rate speaking, they were all belong to high-class products; on drawing ratio speaking, they were all belong to first grade above.By introducing restrain coefficient which weft yarn and fabric organizational structure for latex silk and knitting closed chaining coil warp yarn, and the weight coefficient of elasticity recovery rate, the elasticity recovery rate model of knitted elastic band was established. Through correcting the weight coefficient, the elasticity recovery rate’s calculation formula of knitted elastic band was got. Finally, the calculation accuracy of calculation model could be measured by elasticity recovery rate deviation percentage. Through calculating, it can be found that elasticity recovery rate deviation percentage of calculation model were all less than 1.0%, which were more accurate than the previous deviation percentage(≤5.00%), it could be used to calculate and predict the elasticity recovery rate of elastic band.By studying the fatigue resistance of PET / PTT composite filament interwoven knitted elastic band, it could be found that with increasing of constant elongation time, elasticity recovery rate of the same kind of elastic band showed a gradual decrement trend; after this five different numbers latex silk having the same constant elongation time, elasticity recovery rate gradually reduced with increasing of latex silk number, fatigue level increased.
