The cotton hollow yarn is obtained by removing the soluble fiber of the core yarn which is made from cotton as the yarn layer, and the soluble fiber as the core. Because when original soluble fiber is replaced by the air, the performance of the fabric will be greatly improved in theory. And all kinds of consumer survey reports show that the first factor that consumers in the purchase of clothing considering is the comfort of clothing. Cotton hollow yarn fabric development is based on the idea to meet consumer demand, and therefore cotton hollow yarn fabric comfort has a very high research value.The hollow cotton yarns which are knitted into the fabric are obtained by removing the soluble vinylon of the core yarn which are made from cotton as the yarn layer, and soluble vinylon as the core. After the hollow cotton yarn curing, the image processing is carried out and after the hollow cotton yarns are made into knitted fabric, the comfort items of the fabric is tested. Specific methods and conclusions are as follows:(1) Hollow degree of hollow yarn can be obtained by image processing for hollow yarn. This can be used to characterize the size of the core and provide a basis for the comparison of different hollow yarn.(2) The advantage of hollow yarn fabric thermal comfort is its good thermal properties, The results of the thermal physical properties test of heat transfer coefficient, thermal resistance and CLO showed that the insulation of hollow yarn fabric are better than ordinary cotton fabrics.Taking the 10% moisture content of cotton yarn as an example, the paper introduces the ratio of the thermal conductivity coefficient of the cotton yarn after the introduction of the hollow structure in the cotton yarn, and the results show that there is a certain increase in the heat preservation, which provides theoretical support for the design of hollow yarn.(3) The wet comfort advantage of cotton hollow yarn fabric is the property of good moistureand quick drying. The fabric moisture absorption and quick drying process include three aspects:absorbent,drip diffusion and quick drying. The test results on this three aspect shows that hollow yarn fabric in the water absorption rate and the residual water rate is better than ordinary cotton fabric, and difference between them in drip diffusion time is small. It can be concluded that the moisture absorption and quick drying of the hollow yarn fabric is better than that of the ordinary cotton fabric. Through the analysis, it is concluded that effects of the double surface infiltration and capillary effect lead this results.(4) Human physiological comfort tests on the environment, fabric and human body were considered and the research content included that the physiological reaction of human body in clothing for sporting, the temperature and humidity between human body and clothing, energy exchange between human body and environment. Tester wearing cotton hollow yarn fabric,common cotton plain fabric and polyester plain fabric took the running experiments and test content included skin temperature,vests,temperature and humidity, physiological indicators, and clothing surface temperature. The test results show that the comfort of the human body in the hollow yarn fabric is superior to that of the ordinary cotton fabric and polyester fabric. But clothing surface temperature test results show that there is little difference for them and this is due to the plain fabric is thin, whose advantage is moisture and quick drying and heat insulation effect is not obvious.
