| Due to the consumption of fossil fuel, greenhouse gas has caused a series of problems and seriously affected the living environment of human society, such as global warming,serious air pollution and so on.The present research has shown that the carbon emissions are gradually increasing with the rapid development of tourism. The study on the carbon footprint of the tourism industry is against the backdrop of increasing carbon emissions of tourism and in-depth research on carbon footprint.Henan Province is located in the central of China, which has various types of tourism resources. It attracts many domestic and foreign tourists all the year round and creates good economic and social benefits. Meanwhile,it also brings a certain pressure to the tourism environment.Therefore, this paper assesses the state of the carbon footprint of tourism development and explores the factors that affect the carbon footprint increased in Henan Province, so as to find out the key points of energy saving and emission reduction and achieve goal of the low-carbon tourism development.This paper takes the six major departments of tourism of Henan Province as the research object, which include transportation, accommodation, catering, sightseeing,shopping and entertainment. Firstly, calculate carbon footprint of tourism in Henan Province from 2004 to 2013 by the method of terminal guidance, and evaluate the distribution and the changing trend of carbon footprint of the tourism sector based on decoupling index. Secondly, split and add factors to kaya equation. For instance, the economic contribution of the various departments to the tourism industry, the turnover rate,the number of rooms, the number of hotels, the number of scenic spots, the investment amount of entertainment shopping. And then analyze the influence of each factor and find the main factors which lead to the increase of carbon footprint in Henan province by LMDI method. Finally, propose effective measures to reduce carbon emissions in tourism. |
