Living standards have been greatly improved,consequently,a lot of people in the urban areas are getting increasingly heavy workloads and busy.It makes them exhausted as well as physically.At the same time,the popularity of information tools in the information age has enclosed them in a virtual space without regard to communicat with other people. In this case,The consumers prefer to seek mental and emotional satisfaction in their material abundance lives.Peaple not only need to talk with others but also pursue a simple and relaxing way of living. Donald Arthur Norman consider emotional requirement is the center idea of emotional design, it is also the starting point of this research. In Donald Arthur Norman’s opinion divide emotional design into 3 lecels,they are instinct,behavior and reflection levels.Product design in the base of emotional requirement through customized wine which is “intermediate” in this case,this is objective of emotional design.The research finally takes customized wine as a case study. First, through the consumer’s requirement of the shape and colour of wine packaging,analyzing the problem in packaging of customized wine,summing up the research can meet personalized needs.Then by means of analyzing the emotional design theory,based on the understanding of customized wine,the research explore the design method for customized wines’ packaging,at the same time,proposing large number of series packaging design of customized wedding wines which are useing different materials.Finally at the end of the research depends on the situation of wine, making sure customized wine packaging process flow and packaging equipment, it redounds to further understanding to customized wine.Using wood and paper with Chinese traditional elements can create emotional connection with consumer, let consumer obtain spiritual enjoyment and emotional satisfaction. Making the view of emotional design into the concept of packaging design not only can fully meet the demands of consumer’s emotional needs but also bring value-added for product. It making references and guidance to some extent in the field of future wine packaging design field.
